There are four wires each going to the center "subwoofers" in the pillars. My 6.5 inch rockford fosgate has two. Which two wires do I use and will I have loss of sound or power with just two wires used? (Long pair or short pair of wires?)

I'm trying to figure out why you have four wires going to the subs in the first place

Do you have an after market amp? How were the wires hooked up to the old subs? Are the Rockfords the new subs you're wanting to install or the subs you want to replace?

The reason for 4 wires is that they are Dual Voice Coil subs.

My audio system is fully stock with original amp and I'm replacing the original speakers in the pillars with the matching size of rockford speakers. I was told that the original speakers have dual voice coils, and that is the reason for the double set of wires going to the "subs". .....Of the two sets of wires there is a long set and a shorter set; I used the longer set and the speakers work fine but I feel the bass is a slight bit quieter than the Original.....I think the rockford just need a bit more power.
