    Angry Computer won't boot up...

So my gf claims it was fine when she went to eat then came back to it & it would not come back on.

It turns on, but does nothing. I get absolutely nothing on the monitor. I swapped monitors to rule that out.

I know its not booting to windows b/c I do not get the standard audio when windows boots.

I reset the PC 50 times, I removed & reinserted the video card, etc. Still nothing.

Remove memory, unplug hard drive, unplug cd/dvd drive and any other driver, remove video card, remove any other cards.
Plug into monitor and see if the bios screen comes up.

If so, re attach one item at a time until something fails.

If not, try swapping the power supply.

It could be any number of things at this point. Your PSU, main board or processor could be toast.

Is it plugged in? I've worked customer support before. I know that should always be the first question.

Sorry about that man, hope you get it fixed. I went to turn on my laptop last Monday and for some dumbass reason Windows Vista wouldn't accept my password (same one for nearly two years) for the "user profile". Nothing on Windows would open, $64.00 later and 24hrs it was fixed.

    Or a corrupted profile...

I always create a second profile when setting up a new machine "just in case".

The stupid thing wouldn't let me, tried that 1st when it wouldn't take my password. I guess it was too late at that point. It was a corrupted user profile.

Well I let it sit unplugged, including all accessories, then restarted it & it magically came back to life & now works fine. Fuckin technology.
