Z06 17x9.5 tire size pics
Well I had a nice day today and I decided to mount my Z06 wheels I just got over this past winter. I didnt know exactly what size or how the tires would look so I only bought two fronts at 275/40/17s on my 17x9.5 wheels.
Now i have two more 17x9.5 wheels and i want a little taller tire in the back so my wheel gap is almost eliminated after I put on my Eibach Pro Kit. Im thinking 315/35/17s but I dont know if theyd be taller, wider, or basically the same.
Any other tire size specs you guys think would look good would really help

315 won't fit on your 917x9.5 rims. Need a wider rim for that size tire. a 10.5 or 11 is what you want. I believe if you wanted to go wider with those wheels you could go as big as 285/35/17. Hope this helps.

You could go 295s for 9.5 wheels. 315s you could do a nitto since they run super fricken small anyways but then it would look like a 275.. so yea.

I found some 315/35/17s on tirerack from sumitomo fairly cheap with a lot of good reviews. Our factory tires should sit around 25.6-7 inches in diameter on a 17x9inch rim. Now tirerack claims that mounted on a 11 inch wide rim it would be 25.7 tall with the 315s. Wouldnt the extra two inches missing jack the tire height up more?
My friend is running 315/35/17s on his stock 17x9 ws6 wheels in the back. his car is slammed and he has rubbing issues on the edge of quarter. If hes running stock ws6 wheels and his tires must be larger than the factory ones, wouldnt it cause the rub where it is?

DO NOT RUN 315'S ON 9 OR 9.5 wheels. Unless its those nittos which run super small to begin with. Your friend is a moron for doing that, if you wanna do it go head but you really should get it out of your head about the 315s, yea sumitos are 100bucks a tire but your rim just isnt wide enough. Deal with it lol I have 17x9's also and I wont do that, the highest id go is 295 which is a little high even for 9s

Yes I am the "Moron"
friend of his. The tires were on the wheels when I got them...and honestly the 315s ARE too big for the stockers to handle. But the 275 40 MTs will work much better for the track this year
But hey, theres no denying that the 315s areBut I'd look at the 285s. Just come over tomorrow and we'll figure things out.
