So how do you feel about that ??
Clint Boyer won the race ... Denny Hamlin was totally dominating 9/10 of it though ...
I think its awesome. I hope he breaks Jeff Burton's streak for most races in between victories.
they made the point that if Denny had not stoped at the top of the track, blew a tire , that NASCAR would not have thrown the yellow and Jr would have won the race goin away
this is not just a racing deal............its happened plenty of times. He has no respect for other drivers. Time for somebody to give him an on the track lesson
Dispain was saying he acts a lot like that old number 3 used to ..
Checkers or wreckers, Bring home the trophy or the steering wheel. Screw all the gentlemanly stuff. This is stock car racing. Go to any local shorttrack and see the same thing every saturday. Heck, people kill each other for a lot less money than is at stake here. I like Jr. but if I had a team I would hire Kyle if I could.
As far as someone giving it back to him, they gotta catch him first.
make no mistake about it E used to wreck people all the time .. just ask Terry LaBonte or Rusty Wallace .. As far as off trak Kyle is still very young ... Remember he was in the point lead in Cup, Busch, and trucks at one time ..
Not that I am a big fan of his ...just takeing the other side of a point ..
what would they be saying if Jr had bumped Kyle into the wall to win the race ..." well thats just racing " ???
still same old line .. its ok if your guy puts someone in the wall but is a felony if someone does it to them...
Poor Jr. He inherited some shoes that he will never fill.
oh well! i hate kb but ive seen jrs old man put terry labonte in the wall at bristol twice (95 and 97)
thats why they called him "ironhead"
the best I could tell by watching all the replays was that Jr pinched him down there. If KB had a run going into the corner then jr should've gave him room. If jr was faster then he would've been in front of KB and not along side of him when he went spinning up into the wall. KB does remind me somewhat of the old man because he's not afraid of what the fans or nascar will say.....he just wants to win. Everyone else is happy with a top 5.
The old man wrecked plenty of people. I guess everyone here is probably to new of a fan to remember the old man and waltrip banging fenders back in the day. In those early years those 2 really had a thing going. He wrecked plenty of people and in the end that's what got him the most respect from the fans and other drivers is because he wanted to win bad enough that he done whatever it took. I see some of that in KB, he just needs to mature and learn to pick his battles.
I'm not a die hard Jr fan- But I absolutely hate K-Y-le Busch. He is a snot nose little punk, who drives reckless-- yes He is a good driver at times. But he has no regard for clean racing. I honestly think he could have passed Dale Jr before the race was over- But no-- He had to be good old Kyle Dip shit Busch and get in an accident, when he had a faster car anyways.
Was it intentional ... No--- But could he have shown more caution and probably still pulled out a victory. Yeah..
When you are within 10 laps- and someone has a run on -- You don't give up the position, because he caught a slight better line off a turn. So Dale did nothing wrong.
If I remember correctly- Dale Jr was riding the Mid/ to High line all day-- Kyle was fairly low all day-- so the fact that Kyle happen to need to ride up that high on the track for that particular run is non-sense.
Kyle is only 23 yrs old and already has people who absolutely hate him.. Most people don't even know a typical 23 year old persons name in the sport-- But he already has a name for himself. Partly for being a good driver-- but alot of his notoriety comes from being a dick head on the track.
I have always kept my eye on the sport, but probably started following more closely about two years ago.
I hope KB has a 3rd run-in with Smoke, cause it ain't gonna be pretty~
Oh, and I think that this was the last race that Jr. will play nice with KB. Next time Jr. will get him loose without contact and let KB kiss the wall!
SR didnt wreck people like that. sr moved people when they were in the way. kyle wrecks people when they give him room. sr never wrecked people unless they didnt give him room. jr gave kyle half the track and still got wrecked. nascar wont do anything about it so maybe jr will grow a set and take care of this punk ass on the track. hopefully more than once.
when i saw that happend, i just stood up, and walked away. i had to. i was very very pissed off.
man, you could tell how dissapointed Jr. was with his after race interview. man, he was so close. if he hadn't asked for the crewchief totighten him up so much, he would have been able to stay down and win.....damn.
you gotta feel bad for Hamlin though. he should've won for real. its a shame to see a badass racecar get taken out like that...
Can't stand the Buschs they are both cocky, arrogant pricks. Not saying their not good drivers they just need attitude adjustments. Jr's time is coming he's had some good runs and was a contender to win several races last season before his engine puked out on him. I'd say that since Jr's up in the points he's handled the pressure to perform at Hendricks pretty good so far this year.
least you remember the night at bristol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEsCpXZAuVg
a better view of the crown prince, maybe his son should have taken a lesson from dad (i used to love espn coverage)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGICM9qtwdo
sure he did, he drove his car backwards into the wall.
few clips for the newbs.
3 vs waltrip
3 vs wallace
3 vs labonte
Don't be alarmed by a couple of those videos.....they're actually racing in them because they're in real cars. They also don't slow down when there's a caution.....they had to race back to the line in those days.
dale never wrecked anyone.......yeah right. People just had a habit of slowing down into his front bumper I guess.
sorry was too busy watching auto racing that actually requires talent rather than just drafting and left turns. lol
yeah 180 mph inches from another vehicle doing the same speed-where every lb of pressure in the tires changes the entire ride and handling of the car takes no talent..
Just because other types of racing requires turning the wheel in two directions instead of one, doesn't mean it doesn't take skill to drive in NASCAR.
Not to mention they DO have road courses in NASCAR now.
"I always want to win. That is my only passion."
- Kimi Raikkonen
im not saying NASCAR does not take skills it just other auto sports require a lot more skill than NASCAR, and a lot more entertaining to watch in my opinion. seeing corvettes, Ferrari's and Porsche's race side by side is amazing. Back when NASCAR had cars that you could buy now that was cool... to bad i was too young too see it.

this was friday before he wrecked jr. crazy what he says and nascar does nothing. fuck that.

"i'll wreck as many as i need to"
OK.I waited a while to see if anyone brought this up but no one has. Just so happens that Kyle wrecked the car he was just fired from. Maybe it has nothing to do with Jr. but more like thumbing his nose at the team that dumped him. I can totally relate to that.
Racing is racing!!! It happens. I liked it when Senior was around and did it!! HAHA
the thing NASCAR has over Sports cars is most NASCAR tracks are like giant Stadiums.. So the fans can see almost all the race at all times ... With the IRL and CART getting back together , if they would just have a show or 2 on speed or ESPN 2 where more people could put a face with a car , then they would go up .. One of these days I am gong to catch a IRL race as Nashville :yup:
does it matter?
it just means that F1 is more of a global sport where if you ask anyone from around the world about NASCAR its hard for them to keep a straight face.
Well, nascar sells out venues and cart and irl give tickets away at the gate so the stands wont be empty.
The reason they are going over to NASCAR is because there is more money there. im not debating the fact that NASCAR is very popular I just can't stand to watch it thats all. give me a race at Le Mans or and F1 race, but to each his own. P.S. I still think the best entertainment to time ratio is drag. a whole can of whoop ass in 4.5 sec.
I actually preferred nascar before it got popular. I knew when I saw the first celebrity in the pits that the sport was gonna take a turn for the worse. Fox completely wrecked the way nascar is being covered and the other stations followed in their shoes. Nascar itself has taken away from it's own sport by some of the rules and bullshit they've done in the last 15 years.
I see that you are only 19 years old. Thats cool cause you are young. Have you ever raced? Do you know the skill that it takes to go 180+ mph and have people bump you or turn all directions going 200+ mph? If so than ok but if not then you have really no say of the skill that it take to drive these cars. I have done many auto cross races in my old Trans Am and have done the Richard Petty driving experince at the LVMS and they are too very differnent typs of raceing. They both take alot of skill to drive and both very demanding.
Also have you ever thought as to why drivers are all trying to get into NASCAR? Think about it. All racing is great but in my opinion and as much of the country is that NACSAR is true American Raceing.
lets not turn this into a NASCAR bashing thread..
Dont be so sure CUP has come a long way in just about 20 years ,, Remember in the 80s all of the races wasn't even being televised .. I think NASCAR became this monster after Sped Vision turned into SPEED TV .. Now back when it was SPEED Vision ..those were the days ..
back when ESPN televised almost all the races in the 80s and 90s with bob Jenkins, bp, and Ned Jarret and Larry neuber, before they put the chicane in the back stretch at Watkins glen, before pit road speeds, when bristol sat 16,000 people, when there were 5 short track in the season those were the days ! as soon as fox got a hold or it it was over . just like the NFL broadcasts they turned it into a circus
To all you people that think stockcar racing is easy, just turn left, I have a suggestion. Buy or build a street stock, hot stock or bomber and go race at your local short track. You WILL leave with your tail between your legs and red with embaressment. Matbe after a season you can stay on the same lap as the good guys.
Damn, he won another one!
KB almost took out Biffle at the beginning of the race for no reason! What an A-hole!
If you are going to win lot of races ... you are going to have to piss people off ... I dont mind haveing a good bad guy up front ... I hate Stewart , not because ofhis driveing because of what he says and how he says it ... NASCAR needs someone to stir up the water and add something to the races ... Just like Pro Wrestling discoved many many years ago .. people will pay to watch a bad guy lose more than a good guy win ...
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j1...eltooth/EI.jpg
remember this guy .. He used to wreck people all the time ..
finally someone that actually knows how it used to be. I remember when people couldn't stand DW.....he was loud, cocky, and arrogant. People also though DE was an asshole that wrecked people to win races. That's just how it was. The more I watch Kyle Busch the more I like him. He reminds me of how nascar used to be before all the pretty product models started driving cars. He's there to win and doesn't care what he has to do to get the win. The more people dislike him the more it makes me want to pull for him. :D
as far as open wheel taking more talent, if that were so then why do the best open-wheelers struggle to just make a nascar event. and if they do make it they dont last long. Montoya does have a win but damn he tears up a lot of race cars. the rest of them dont even look mediocre. they look terrible
Maybe so-- but I stand by the fact that KY-Busch is a prick and a whinny little snot nose brat.
Maybe DE was a whinny little baby-- maybe that is just how 23 year old race car drivers act. But I wasn't watching when DE was a 23 year old driver.
I don't care for it, no matter who it comes from.
But the Busch brother's especially annoy me.
PS-- why they hell couldn't Douche Bag Busch keep his car off the wall when he was out front with a 3 - 4 second lead? I was praying he would have a fender cut a tire and he would finish 22nd+
