twin 10lb bottles is awesome. does anyone take out the spare and put the bottle in there??? when i get it, i don't want anyone to know that i have got it. not until i have to bust 'em on it.
WOW that is sexy...I wanna see some more pics of where ppl put there bottle lol so keep posting um...
Its not as stealth as the spare tire area but I like the peace of mind of having a spare just in case. Mines on the driver side trunk area.

Dose that get in the way of the T-tops at all ? Has anyone put it in between the two back seats ? That seems like the place where I would put mine, just never seen it ???
My bottle mount doesnt get in the way of the T-Tops.
My sub does however!

here is mine simple setup...
no pics in between the rear seats
Thank you but I can not take all the credit it was designed and installed by myself and two good friends of mine.

Evidently I haven't taken any good pictures of it, but this gives you the idea. BTW, normally the spare tire cover is covering it...
I lifted the carpet out & welded a plate in to bolt every thing to. I pull 1.36 60' times, & didn't want them going through the rear glass !!!
soo there is no 90 degre fitting to have it mount that way. i guess i got some bad info sometime ago
If you are talking about the blow down tube, ( 90 degree pipe ), You will need that for safety ( NHRA ).... It will come long, then just cut it off so it's only a few inches through the floor.http://http://i157.photobucket.com/a...a/DSC00260.jpg
no im talking abbout the mounting of the bottel. someone here told me that if i mount my bottle ( valve facing forward, in mid of rear seats) that i will need a different fitting for the valve or something.
mine will be exactly like yours just in between the rear seats. i dont see what the person was trying to tell me.
hey is drill on the trans tunnel hump what should i look out for?
When you start your project, have the car jacked up & just check under before drilling. I don't think anything will obstruct you there. On mine, I got some thick flat steel, welded it to the deck, then drilled & tapped it for the mounting bolts. Put the carpet over top !
cool thks
So im thinking no one has put there bottle in the middle of the back seats lol...:nite:
should i add this or should just mount directly to tunnel
http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...NO-00-3300.gif
i also found the 90 degre outlet. what is that even used for
I never seen the tunnel mount brackets before ! I like that. Pop the two rear seats & probably mount over the carpet. I'd do it !!!
Of coarse, I'd put the rear seats back in !!! At least if you have someone in the back, they will now have a pretty cool arm rest !!! LOL
I will try to take some pics but my bottle is where the spare tire use to be.:D
its not mine but this is killer. post #789

Dont know about you guys but here is where my bottle goes........:yup: Sorry....couldn't pass it up.....my future racer.....
Great thread by the way.....been thinking about putting a small nitrous system on mine to help get out of the hole a little better.......
haa a 150 shot of MILK!!!
heres mine uncovered and covered, just have the bottle set in waiting to get my solinoids back from nx to hook up everything (do have the mounting plate polished now and the heater installed.

Not completely hooked up but I removed the passenger side lower rear seat. The seat mount makes for a good angle when the brackets were installed.

good job, will the pass side rear panel still fit when bottle is back there, if soo that stealthy
With the bottle where the rear seat was, do you have a 10lb or a 15lb, because I want to put my bottle in the back seat, but I have a 15lb and it's too big to fit on the hump.
CHECK THE ACCESORIOS FOR NITROUS IN WWW.NITROUSOUTLET.COM THEY HAVE A PLATE FOR THE HUMP I HOPE ITS NOT TO LATE!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I ended puttin the bottle where the spare tire goes I hope I will have the system hooked up soon and I will post up pics as soon as I do !
mine is mounted vertically in the spare tire hole. bolts through the wheelwell, just make sure if you mount it this way put the bottle in facing the rear of the car, otherwise under hard acceleration you will uncover the siphon tube inside. in other words mount it with the braided line pointing towords the taillights.
Ya, If you want to hide the bottle & mount it up right, you want the siphon tube to the rear of car...
You are horizonal / tilted... Which is good, as long as the hose connection is pointing down. The tube inside the bottle curves down. It is picking up the liquid NOS off the bottom of the tank. Hope this helps !
yes yours is abslutly fine, but vertically mounted like mine the siphon tube inside the bottle gets uncovered under acceleration. i just found that out. on the dyno it didnt matter cause the car wasnt moving, but on the street in 3rd and 4th gear my 150 shot felt like a 50 shot!!! huge difference by turning the bottle around. (especially on the 3rd/4th hit)
there are a lot of other factors, like bottle freeze (again really noticable by 3rd/4th hit) causing pressure drop, and lower weight of nitrous after a couple passes. i thought i was just using tons of nitrous on a 150 shot only getting one good pass. but then a more experienced racer told me turn the bottle around and now it hit so hard that my 3rd gear barely works anymore!!! hahaha!
more power=more problems right! but again yours looks great no worry':cheers:s

BOTTLES MUST BE MOUNTED AT THE CORRECT ANGLE FOR PROPER FUNTION!!
Ok I understand now lol
:buffer:
So the bottle facing up makes it hit harder?
Stole this pic form 98/TA..
But here is the spot i have mine, and the red line is how my line in car goes.
I guess mines ok? lol
Nice I have my Venom bottle mounted on the hunp in between the back seats! I fg I can ever get my camera to upload properly I will post mine.
i gotta set my car up for n2o... lol.
suedes here to save the day...
I got the HSW tunnel mount and bottle looks insane and makes one hell of an arm rest for anyone sitting in the back...
apparently i dont have any pictures of just it tho, ill get those tomorow if you like
