Nice work!
Where is the TCS at?
I call it the Cruise Control Module -- it's the black plastic thingy next to the battery with the throttle cables coming in and out of it. There is a sticky in our Appearance Section on how to hide it: Bye-bye cruise module
Man some nice pics!!!well here it goes hope it fits in

Holy F***!!!
Can you come do my engine bay in my project car?
What did you do with the piece that is on top of the strut tower? Did you grind them down to be even with the rest of the tower?
Looking good Brent!!! I had to blend in hood struts they stick out like sore thumb to me.(see my pics above) also would suggest using stainless hardware to put all back together got some work to do on my radiator support since I went with different intake.Man that car could be the baddest street car 2012 (oh ya someone already gave that award out lol) also make sure you have plenty of rags around to cover when you work on it so you don't have to touch up and are you using covers like this?(battery, fuse area sorry old pics)http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...serelocate.jpghttp://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...terydelete.jpghttp://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...sionbadges.jpg
Over the top guys... very nice!
Couple more "little" details...
Thanks to the bird headlights, camaro's are stuck with ugly notches in the core support. FIXED!

Update: Painted FAST 92, painted air lid and rad. support, and painted inner fender wells.

great looking camaro what is the #8288 for?
Thanks 10spokess, That is my car number from SLP. All SS's were given there own number. I see you have an 02 SS you can call SLP and give them your vin number and they can tell you your car number of if your car has its birth certificate it will have it on that also.
Sweet I'm going to have to call them
I started it, but the HVAC system got in the way, so I stopped.
Then this happened:
http://www.ls1.com/forums/f36/franke...roject-162671/
I deleted the HVAC, so I think I'll have more room. Another attempt will be made once the engine is in the car.
Here is mine, finally a bit worthy of showing! :) Still gotta clean the underhood, do the wire mod, fix the stupid clip for the airlid, and do a little paint here and there!

New page! :D
A little paint and and I finally painted my lid and lower air box, sometimes I wanna punch myself cause it takes me so long to do these simple things!! Might add a silver bird on the lid... Wire mod is up next till I have appropriate tools and space :( I wish I would've done these things when I was at home and had a driveway and good selection of tools! Anyways onto pics:

Figured this was a decent place to show my before/after abs delete pics since I posted my engine bay previously

^^ Super clean car. Always neat to see the overseas F-bodies. Out of curiosity, what do the tail lights look like?
http://i50.tinypic.com/23js56s.jpg
the big lights in the rear bumper are foglights, every car in Europe must have those lights, you must put them on when it's very foggie weather (you can see less than 50m), so you won't get hit from behind by the car driving behind you.
The new Camaro has them too, but they are not as big as the 4th generation
you see them just above the exhaust, the taillights are different too, i don't know why they did that

Dont even know if youll see this since its an older thread but seeing your lid and the clip problem reminds me of mine..the neck of the lid has marks on it and the clip are all the results of the smooth bellows not being flush with the tb !AARRGGG. mine did this too! sucks i know! Anyhow your engine bay does look clean though.
Wow, that turned out pretty damn nice XSSV, ...,
Wow XSSV sweet engine bay. What kind of intake is that? Never seen one before and are those individual foam air filters? Sweet.
Nice Brent glad to see finished (for now) will have to meet up sometime when it warms up again!
Been a while since I posted engine pics...here are the latest with the Pontiac valve covers, coilpacks relocated, VA started....
http://i999.photobucket.com/albums/a...alvecovers.jpg
Very sharp! Nice work on the coils and covers.
the covers look good. do they seal good i was looking at getting a set of them or a custom set of covers
How did you guys polish the factory aluminum stuff like that? Mine looks ratty.
I did the rocker covers on our car -- started by knocking down the rougher areas with a dryloc sanding disc, wet sanded them by hand and then buffed them. It is labor intensive, but the results speak for themselves:
http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/v...o/DSC02782.jpg
Thanks. Even though I run a set of Afterthoughts FRC's, it is still nice having the polished aluminum peeking out from underneath.
It's a process of sand paper grits and elbow grease. Air tools if possible are a big help for polishing the final product.

http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...007_124940.jpg
Air tools I got, patience is another thing.
^What grits did you guys use?
I think I hand sanded with 400 wet to start.
^ Thanks thats what i figured....and alot of the patience part too!!! Looks good both of you.
Definitely clean....looks awesome.
Very nice!!
Thanks guys!
Thanks! I try to keep her clean.
Pardon my perfectionism and OCD, but the ONLY thing I see that could look nicer is the MAF. It's just a little crooked...rotate it clockwise a few degrees and then I would be totally in awe. Still looks sweet. Love how you cleaned up the cruise control and rerouted all your wiring. Incredible attention to detail. Now I have something to compare mine to and try to make it look this good!....
Thank you! I never noticed the MAF, next time i'm out in the garage I will have to turn it a bit. I just got done doing the new head and cam set up when I took these pics so i'm sure I was in a hurry to hear it start up. :chuckles:
Definitely showcar quality!
She's a little dirty..will clean her when it stops raining later this week..
http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n...in/null-17.jpg
NICE...to all....btw Chris, were did you get tha oil breather cap? And to ALL> a good idea? does it help our LS`?
I think I got it from the ws6 store.com. It does help as long as you have a catch can and you will need to get a dyno tune if you put one on because it let's un-metered air into the PCV system.
Next up is a Catch can then relocate Fuse boxes and then polish Condenser, ABS Module, and Throttle body but for now I'm happy again
http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...R0081-Copy.jpg
I bought fuel rail covers over the winter. Trying to put them on now but the oil filler spout sits under it. Do they make a longer one? Or is there some modding I need to do? Thanks for any help
The cover should set down beneath the cap. Remove the cap, tape over the hole so you don't knock anything into the engine, and then install the cover. Should look like this:
http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/v...o/DSC01988.jpg
welp...I dont have a picture of it yet but I removed my secondary air system this weekend. Next step is the EGR...my car has long tubes, but they decided to leave the EGR installed for some odd reason. Next will be some polishing and then im done...should have pictures after that lol
In post #797 I'm curious to no what the pipe is by the brake master cylinder and then there is a second pipe next to the oil dipstick. Is that egr? and is it removable if so would it cause any damage? Would it require a tune and if so would you be able to get away with handheld tuner? In my opinion from what ive seen on here the motor looks so much better without those pipes sticking out and a nice wire tuck.
Yes it is the EGR and yes they are removable. If you keep the stock headers then you'll need a block off plate.
No damage.
Yes you will need a tune to get rid of the error code.
Depends on the tuner.
Yes, Most ppl delete the egr & air pump systems when they install long tube headers.
