Does anyone know what I can do to remove, or cover that ugly brass fitting????
I think thats where the egr went? If I remove it, there will be a hole there.
Anything will help. Thanks.
it still need a good cleaning again, but it just came out for the year

The car has been down for the better part of 8 months, but I finally have it back:) I had the motor rebuilt with forged rods, pistons and arp bolts throughout. Also changed the intake and fuel system. When I got it back home I redid all the supercharger tubing and aftercooler plumbing and did the wire hide mod.

It's like one of those puzzles, ..., Find the differences in the photos.
At first ya think, well I see a couple, ..., then a couple more, ...
I see at least 8.
Thanks Jeff, I got the ambition to do the wire and cruise hide mod from you.
Thats what I used, got them in the fastener section at Ace
I guess I'd have to paint them. Thx
An old shot of mine. One of the weekends where i'm not feeling too lazy I need to get out and do some painting. Gonna get rid of a lot of the red and black it out for the most part.

noting too special, Painted LS6 intake, EGR delete, PCV redone with Color Matched Catch Can, Wire mod, and clear MTI (not visable in pix)
yes sir. You shall see before next summer the left side of the engine bay will be all cleaned up and bare pretty much and I need a way to get rid of the vaccum hose on the right side of the lid because I am getting the FTP 85 mm lid and 85 mm maf. Don't worry pretty soon you wont be looking at bare black and crap lol
the big hose on the right side is for your air system if you get a tune you can have it turned off and take it out. thats what i did on my car. if you dont have a tune yet talk to frost you will not regreat getting one thats for sure
Thanks man I'll have to wait till after the motor is taken out and such and maybe the guy tuning my motor can do that! What is that air system doing?
there is a pump in the inner fender on the driver side that pulles air out of the header and and it ends up going back into the lid its more or less like a egr set up.
 The secondary air system injects fresh filtered air into the exhaust manifolds (or headers). The system operates for a short time on cold start up and is designed to help bring the catalytic converters up to operating temperature sooner. The system consists of an electric air pump, a hose to a diverter valve on top of the engine, an electric solenoid that controls the vacuum signal to the diverter valve, and check valves mounted on the metal manifold tubes. This can all be removed from the car if emissions compliance is not an issue. A tune is then also required to cancel out the SES light from being triggered by the removal. :)
So do you think if I cancel the SES light I can still pass emissions if I take this off?

I added the Camaro vinyl to the right side of the strut tower! It may not be world ending but I like it and it's the start of all the mods to come
the light will come back and im not sure about emissions as i dont have to deal with them. do they have a visual? if so it should fail. and if you like the sticker thats all that matters.
I'm just completing my LS6 install. The engine is running smooth. I haven't re-installed the AC components yet. I have to install the console and the air dam. Take the car off the ramps and I'm ready for a test drive.
Very tastefully done!
Any thought of doing the wire hide or cruise control hide mods? Those were two of my favorite underhood appearance changes on our car.
Here's my work in progress. I've added the fuse box covers & a Chrome Mobil 1 Oil Cap since these pics where taken.

Looks good, Tater. Any thoughts of doing the wire hide?
It is one of those projects that after you do it you'll ask yourself why you waited so long to do it.
with your budget.....
wire mod
cruise control hide mod
LS6 VCTmod
Update your knock sensors
yeah he's right it's a long list....
Yeah, I think I will just clean it up, do the wire and cruise control mod and leave it alone. I might paint my intake, I don't know yet.
how do you do the cruise control hide mod?
a little bit of searching yeilded this:
Bye-bye cruise module

Nice clean install on the nitrous setup. How much are you hitting it with?
Hey BLK2KSS, how do you like the fitment and performance of the BBK intake? Did you get it just for the blow out plate or do you prefer it over equivalent intake manis?
I’m gonna completely honest here and admit that it pretty much sucks balls! lol. Other than it being pretty I hate it! It will be for sale soon so I don’t wanna bash it too much lol. But seriously there are lots of good things about it but the fact that its aluminum and the walls are pretty thick, which can be a plus when porting, it gets super hot and holds that heat FOREVER! I bought into the whole blow out plate, portability and great price compared to the others and I actually believed all the peoples BS that owned them and didn’t wanna make themselves look foolish for buying a poor product by lying about the heat soak not affecting performance. I can literally feel the difference after it gets hot and yeah don’t think that you can just let it sit for a lil while and cool down cause it wont. When it’s cool for the 5-10 mins after start up its great though lol. A FAST will be in there shortly. Oh yeah and dont even think about putting boost through it, it WILL leak.
wow so that disproves pretty much every good thing I've heard about it. I was on the fence between a BBK and an LS6, ended up going with the LS6. After driving with it and hearing what you said I definitely dont regret it.
yup, I wish I would have just got the LS6 too or just spent some more coin and got the FAST. Oh well, live and learn. Like I said though, It sure looks pretty lol
that it does
That is one healthy looking motor
wanna post up a pic of mine but its a mess from removing the ac and remounting everything like the TCS and the catch can as well as hiding the wires :(
