having dealt with one of each. the old 83 f250 regular cab ford was awesome(fathers), but saw lots of salt in wyoming. the 03 dodge quad cab ram is and has been solid going to and from wyoming for family functions and hunting. and the 07 silverador crew cab (cousin's truck, bought it new) has been well and is a more comfy in the back seats. the silverado and ram are full 4 doors for those who dont know crew cab/quad cab definitions. different companies have different labels for the same features to screw people out of money.
I live in NH now and the snow is ready to fly, i also need a truck to take my trash to the dump i have no garbage pick up in the woods. I needed 4x4 for the winter to get up and down my road heres some pics of my road.

What engine? I'd watch the coolant level with any vortec engine. Intake gaskets could wreck your engine
