If your not going to hand wash it and dry it you shouldn't own it.
Hand wash once a month.
Oh yeah, touchless in between.
When I was using my car as a DD I washed it about every 2-4 days, depending on the crap I drove through. I would go full hand wash in the first 6 months I owned my black WS6.
Eventually it started to be about time consumed in proportion to the quality of the job, I found that in a touchless wash with a blow dryer(nobody but me EVER touches my car for purposes of washing) drying the remainder off and applying some detail took a fraction of the time it would if I went over the whole thing by hand. Which is really nice, lol. Besides I don't have any of those fancy bucket systems that are essential to a good, swirl free wash unless you are constantly dumping/refilling your bucket.
On another note, for those of us with black cars or a hatred for imperfect paint I have to say STAY AWAY FROM THE CALI DUSTER. It swirled the shit out of my paint after I buffered it, I almost went postal. I threw the duster away after I realized that my hours upon hours of hard work from the month prior had been for nothing.
I don't like the Cali Duster eihter.
A touchless car wash never gets all the dirt off so do not hand dry the car after going through one or use detail spray. Use that 120 method to dry after a touchless wash only. A touchless wash is only for getting some excess dirt off when you don't have time to hand wash.
Touchless Car Washes are for ricers..
Hand Washed only and then shammy dried... NEVER washed in the sun period...
I always hand wash. :yup: Never been to any car-wash period. :true:
Hand wash only.
