Yep for the most part. The SCJ suffered a flat cam lobe from doing that (I think, haven't investigated it yet) so it hasn't been started since about 1985.

I'm looking at Corvettes in my area right now and I can't find any decent-mileage C6's under $27K. I do see some C5 Z06's though that are pretty tempting.

I do really like the C6's. But for the price I'd rather have a nice low mile C5 Z.
