My '68 Camaro

NICE! what does that put out?
Alright boys...here we go. This is a mock up of one. This one is made from black acrylic and laser etched. This is just to show the fine detail our laser can do. If you order one yours will be made from black anadized aluminum and laser etched with what ever you wish. Remember TSS is now GM Lisenced. So we can add any GM logo and info you want on it.
The laser art will show the aluminum underneath the black, represented here in silver.

Edit: I can make a few calls on Monday and see what color options I can get. I know if I get them powder coated I can have a large selection of colors. But anadized I have no idea.
Sandman, can you do one full color like the one attached?

Thanks Dean, now I just wished it was running. I lost oil pressure 3 days after that show and needless to say she's done. No indications whatsoever. No lifter chatter, rocker arm, smoke, overheating, bearing squeal, nothing. Just locked up...I watched my guage go from 60psi to ZERO and the time it took me to throw it in N it locked. Thats my luck I guess.
I guess I could screen print the gold and red  But I do not know how long or if the ink would hold up to the temp of the heads. Let me cut one and slap it on my car and I'll run it for a few weeks. Unless you want to order one? If it messes up you can return it to me and I can just etch it for you.
very nice.
Here is a pic of one with a head plate

Hey,
The only thing I did myself was sand the fuel rail covers (They are the ones that were designed for the Covette of course) and the SLP air lid. I ordered the decals for the FRC from someone on here but that was back in 2007 and I don't have his info anywhere but I am sure you can find some of those. I have a guy here in Augusta that does all of my paint work and he did the work.
Here is some pictures of the Volant Intake for the Pontiac, modified to fit my SS. I liked the two filter set up better from the Pontiac model than the one filter setup for the Camaro. I had to use several different bellows to get it right. Check it out, by the way, those are Air Raid filters, I didnt like the blue from Volant.

:hyper: Soon we shall have an engine kit on every ls1 fbody out there! :true:
Man, i've been working all weekend on tearing out the manifold and valve covers so i can get them powder coated by triple H. But the one thing that has been the most irritating is just how much JUNK they wrap around the top of these engines! All those wires and hoses are such a messy look. I looked really closely at some of the show-car engine bay's in here like 01somSS's and 97ramst's and even they have all that junk, so i guess that judges just kinda "accept it" ?
Yes the judges do accept it. They don't look at how much junk is under the hood but how well you have all that junk clean. No dirt, no mess. If it werent for my top and seat bolster I would have scored a close 1000 in the last show. But with mileage you have wear and until I get those things fixed or replaced it will continue to get the same score. I'll be waiting on those parts! Let me know when you send them off. I'll email you later.
gettin' closer!

just got my ls6..getting ready to paint it and eliminating air and egr and maybe pretty soon getting valve covers and painting them so i will post pics when i get the ls6 in
No, yours are def better! We didn't find this powder until after we did mine but I am going to have to redo them after I seen how yours turned out!
Ultimate chrome powder. It is ashame they have to be cleared because it actually takes away from the shine. Nontheless they still look amazing!
This isn't the best pic but I tried to get the reflection. Like I had said before the pics do no justice...
http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/v...oating/006.jpg
Yes they did ship.
why use chrome powder coat on the fuel rails, when you can just chrome the fuel rails instead?
You will never have to worry about the powder flaking off or pitting.
I haven't had any issues with that on my fuel rail, but it's probably b/c I don't drive my car enough to have to worry about that.
QUALITY chrome plating wont do that either. But the real reason for PC vs chroming is it costs about a quarter as much. There is nothing wrong with PC at all but side by side with real chrome plating it fails to impress.
With that said I DIDN'T have my FR chromed because it has to be dipped and I can not see ever being able to get all the residue the process leaves out of the inside of the rail and it would cause countless problems. Travisnd was your rail really chromed or is it polished? If so do you know how they did it? DId they just seal up all the holes that well?
Like I said I just hand polished mine and cleared it...the pictures suck but its uner my FRCs anyway so all you see is the crossover tube:

http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x...t/DSC05904.jpg
yeah real chrome and powder can never be compared. but like you said the cost comparison is the difference.
My fuel rail was chromed. I believe they plugged it up, since it had caps on the ends when it came back from the chromer. It's been installed for almost a year now and no issues at all and looks awesome!!
In the NEAR future, we will be offering true chrome coating to go with our packages. Yes it will cost a bit more, but for those of you who just gotta have that chrome it will be avaliable.
Lots of good looking engine bays here.
Here are some shots of mine. The rest of the car and hood are filthy.
The first pic is how I had it for the first couple years.

These pics are how it is now. I am halfway done.
Still have a to put on the GMPP "Chevrolet" valve covers and relocate the coils, add the catch can, head plate, fuel rails and a bunch of SS braided lines to put on.

clean it everytime the car is washed. thats what I do.
I havent degreased it in a while. It can be blacker cuz there is a lot of brown road grime on stuff. Ill try and get some better pics today.
CD2 engine detailer over frikin everything, let it soak in then start the wiping down.

looks good!! i like the covering on the wires. :D
Thanks man, I'll check them out!
the hood mirrors are still a rectangular sheet in dallas somewhere
Actually-YOU have my hood mirrors. When you ordered your kit, sandman forgot to cut you a set so i sent you mine in place of it so i'm just waiting till he has some time clear to send mine.
Jasion I noticed the sides of your bay are scuffed up a bit. May I suggest Duplicolor GM black single stage paint with duplicolor clear?? It matches stock paint and is shiney as hell.
i thought they stopped customizing them and then you get the cut ones to paint?
i didnt need them bad at the time. they didnt go on until a couple months later. you could have just waited and cut some and then sent them out.
