I guess I have a little bit of OCD or it's the new paint... but Handwash every few days since I'm using it as my DD until I can get a new commuter...
Jackstands, simple green and a gasoline powered pressure washer for those undercarriage cleanings. There is a spot free pressure washer(wont hurt your hand in spot free setting) in town and i usually take the bucket and the mit/meguiars wash and waste a couple of bucks. Worth not having the water spots
Usually hand wash but if it's really dirty and I don't have time I'll go through the touchless seeing they don't clean down to the paint anyway. I get free weekly car washes, but never use them very often.
I just got my landlord to let me wash it in my driveway!!! So today I spent about 4 hours washing waxing, and detailing it....and now it's supposed to rain tonight!!!!!! Fuck my life :brick:
i hand wash mine almost evry time i take it out. i dont drive it much and if i dont have time to hand wash i just dont drive it. im lucky it not my dd.
Hand wash mine. then if i'm out and it gets dirty I'll wash it with the sprayer at a car wash.
I carry a small bucket/washmit with a bit of gold class wash and put it in the cubby hole in the rear.
:)
Hand wash blow dry then shamy.
hand wash, although i will occasionally go to one of those "do it yourself" stalls at a local car wash with the proper drying apparatus if im in a hurry. i dont trust the whole "automated rolling thru a generic wash designed for any kind of car, truck, or van" tho (and neither should anyone else).
I don't drive mine very often-but the key to keeping it clean is a garage. I was keeping my car outside and not even driving it and every 4-5 days it needed a full wash. Now that its in the garage its been 6 months since I washed it. When I do wash it-I wash it by hand. I do everything possible to prevent swirls like- use the 2 bucket system(one bucket of soapy wash water and one bucket of clean water to wash my mitt off in before dunking back in the soapy water bucket-try it-you wont believe the dirt you will have in the clean water bucket that would have been grinded into you paint) I also use a quality carwash that has essential oils to prevent swirls created from grit/dirt and a quality microfibre wash mitt. To dry I use a Micro fibre waffle weave towel- it is amazing how they dry so fast without swirls. I use a quick detailer called Prima "slick"-best QD I ever used-leaves the surface so slick(uses some kind of polymer I believe) which seems to repel or make it harder for dust to stick to. Hope this helps someone.
Come on, this shouldn't even be a question! The best way to wash your car is to hand wash it yourself...Unless you really are lazy and don't care about your paint job...I always hand wash mine...
i always try to hand wash my car. and quick detailer.
oh and does that detailer stuff for aluminum wheel work? i been wanting to try

Hand wash! and Eagle wax as u dry every time in between quarterly waxes.
if for some reason I became instantly retarded and took my car to a carwash, as soon as I saw some random dude start to dry my car off or clean the inside I would immediately go into attack mode and start dropping every person there.:ar:
the car has its own mit and soap
so i can go to any car wash and wash it since all it needs is water :D
Hand wash only, my will never go through a car wash.....
