Well I didn't think I was going to win COTM that is for sure! I had been chasing the GTO the entire time with the exception of the last couple of days which the tables turned. Thank you all who voted :wave: It is a good feeling being nominated car of the month. I have been on this site for some time, not a big contributor but definitely an enthusiast. Which now a corvette had won back to back months which is good to see, lord knows I have seen F-bodies do it.
Anyway My name is Nik and I am a 24 year old college student in upstate New York, the car is a 2001 M6 Non ZO6. The picture was taken in front of my college's baseball fields, thus the red dragons. It just seemed like the right place to take a good picture. I seem to be a little young to be driving a corvette but a little old to be in college still. The truth is that the car is due to uncle sam paying my bills :usa: I bought the car from a guy in Kentucky for a good price about a year ago now and have enjoyed it ever since. One thing I think I am most proud of is that I actually drive the car! I am not one of those 20,000 mile car owners, no, the car is nearing 100K and I have put on 22,000 in one year :true: So while the car is babied I also drive the snot out of it. The car didn't look like it does now when I first got it. It was just a base corvette, everything else I have put on it, and yes it is a money pit.
Now about driving the car. I take it to as many legal events as I possibly can to push the limits of the car which is a good time, but I'm not going to sit here and :bs: you all saying that I never participate in the commission of a traffic crime here and there. What can I say I guess I am still young dumb and full of :jerkit: Anyway the main reason I bought the car was to replace my first over the road toy, I dont get why my family thinks I am safer on four wheels? I still go fast! :wtf: I definitely have a speeding problem If you have not figured it out yet and until the corvette can beat a liter bike it will not be done being modified! :screwy:
Well I think I have babbled enough so again thank you all who voted for me! :hug: Maybe next year I will take pictures of the engine mods and be voted into car of the month that way a second time!
