I was thinking about buying the true dual set up from Texas Speed, but the only problem is that it does not come with any catalytic converters. I was wondering if anybody has ever put a set of catalytic converters on with it or if it's even possible to do so? I don't know too much about cutting exhaust pipes or welding so any help would be appreciated.

Yea. Good 'ol North Carolina. Anthing 96 or newer has to pass emisions. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't care. My last Trans Am was a 95 and it didn't have any cats on it and I loved it.Quote:

I hate getting shit welded. I'm going to get some cats and clamp them on with a set of band clamps. I don't see why more people don't do that.
magnaflow hi-flow converters through summit racing are only $65 each... I'm going to need them in a year and half too :(

illegal to clamp a cat, has to be welded... clamps provide too muchroom for exhaust leak in their eyes... as well with non rear exiting exhaust... not sure on your states rules, but are you talking the rear exit, or the dumped td's?Quote:

Yea, if I knew somebody to do that then I would not even worry about the cats, but unfortunatly I don't. The place I take all my older cars(pre 96) will pass anything with four wheels, but they are not set up to do emissions so.Quote:
