I currently own a 2000 TA M6 with 85k miles on it. I have one of the hardest times staying out of the throttle. I always use Mobile 1 synthetic, but I was wondering how much abuse will these engines be able to withstand being mostly stock?

quite a bit. i broke my flexplate at the mounting bolt holes
about 600 horsepower and the rear end will go out before the endine usually does. you will come to find that mobil 1 is not the best oil out there and that pennzoil platinum has bettering shearing charecteristics and costs less. you being a new member i would advise you to just read lots of posts it is amazing how much i have picked up in 5 months time
Yepp, like said above use the search button and goto town. Should be able to find what your looking for. Internaly iv found that your rod bolts, and pushrods are pretty weak links, but not until upwards of 500hp would i worry about the rod bolts.
Also your rear is probly the weakest point in your driveline from the factory, Our stock 10 bolts wont hold up to much. As far as the motor, if your stock, then goto town. Also search around the site there are alot of post's about better oils to use, Mobil 1 use to be synthetic but not anymore.
Sarge has posted a boatload of info on oil's and there pro's and con's.

Thanks for the info. After reading alot of the reviews I changed to Penzoil Platinium. Cheaper and less shearing rate, cant go wrong there. This website saves me alot of ?s I have, its great.
