I have SLP boltins. If I were to do some more serious racing I would also weld them in. But for street and some drag racing boltins work well. This is just from my experiances with daily drivers all the way up to a Nos'd ls1 that ran 10.90s in drag radials.
hmm 3 point SFCs are great. they do show a lil tho. um boxed are stronger then tubular. I'd sugguest weld-ons for several reasons. weld ons are more rigid then bolt ons. also bolt ons will eventally loose their purpose ..the more the 2 sub frames twist...the more the bolts will wear out the bolt holes ..so eventually they sfcs will be so loose they wont do their job. um SLP 3 point sfc are the best and you should get them..you wont be sorry, trust me
how would the ground clearence be for a car thats been lowered about 1 inch?:seesaw:
not bad. you'll loose about 1/2 - 1" max. just wait a few days hopefully. i will get mine on. on my first bird i really never payed attention to the clearance since i didnt drop the car.
I've got tubular Global West weld-on subframes. No problems with clearance - got Eiback Pro-kit on. With my side skirts, you don't even see them.
deffinately go with weld on connectors if you weld, or know someone. bolt ons help but not nearly as much, they are more a way for us fabricators to make quantity sales since not everyone welds at home. get a nice weld on triangulated sub conn. with a drive shaft loop in the center to tie the entire belly together. now if only someone made one like that...
wait a minute... i do! yay!!!
