is the divider hole in lower airbox used for anything?
If you look inside the lower airbox you can see the plastic piece in the middle that seperates the left and right side. It looks like its there for structure, but it certainly does nothing for flow since it has small walls and a big hole that leads right to the radiator. This piece is right in the middle and touches the stock airfilter in the center if you look inside and slightly up. I can't imagine it is robbing lots of power, but its not helping any either. I'd like to just seal it up with some bondo, but just want to make sure its not there for a purpose. I am guessing its just there to rob some airflow, since GM put in all those baffles and stuff. Anyone have any guess, if this is bad to seal and smooth out.
