It's essentially a metered vacuum leak. If you plug the hose, does the idle drop?
so is the intake sucking air? If so it's a vacuum leak and will cause your high idle.
with a catch-can but MINUS the catch-can????
pls post a pic
it is set up like this http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/attach...cv-1ls1ext.jpg
but i have no catch-can. I have the instake valve that sucks air in capped off so there is no vacuum leak there...
I have mine setup like this, no high idle here. i would check for leaks in your hoses.
Whats the green dotted line? Is that blocked off?
mike do you have a catch can though?
No catch can , I may add one later, but its running fine without one. I switched from 98 valve covers to ls6 valve covers which dont have the extra nipple on the back passengers side.
damn thats weird, the idle gets worse when the AC is on too... I will check for leaks
ok so i checked everywhere and i checked the back of the intake and found this, i think i forgot to put it back on when i put my manifold back on... Where does it go?

on the back next to the map sensor and that would cause the idle issue
where exactly is that? i cant see jack shit back there.. What if i just cap it off?
yep that's it and it's a PITA to try to get on with large hands.
I have big hands and you can get them back there if you get in at the right angle. its pointing toward the passengers side on the back of the intake
i have skinny hands. Ill try it.
ok turns out the picture jetaws6 sent, that piece is connected, the other side is the side that is disconnected.
