Had a 9mm xd. I traded it off towards another 1911. Not to say that it was a bad gun, I just prefer the 1911
you tried concealing that sub-compact yet
I have two. 4' 45 service like yours and a 4.5' XDm 9mm. The 45 is my favorite handgun.
My 45 XD is my favorite handgun. And I have 1911's,Ruger sp101 and gp101 357's magnums etc.. I will say a close second is my S&W 1911 PD..
I've got a 5" 45 and absolutely love it. Looking at a sub-compact now
XD 40 on my hip always. Airweight S&W 38 on my ankle or in my pocket.
The xd40sc is the most accurate 40 SC on the market, that ive shot. I had one with tritium ns, concealed great, even with a full size magazine.
i have a 40 subcompact...love it so far
I conceal mine daily. I carried it on duty with the PD in my vest and off duty in a inside the pants holster. Works well IMOQuote:

Off duty if I'm going for a large caliber concealed and the XD is my choice, I carry it inside my pants but I have to think about clothing. It is a little wide but if you plan for it it works well. You'll need pants that fit loose enough for the weapon/holster combination to fit, a belt to hold it all together but not so tightly that it impedes drawing. It's not my choice if I want to be in a lighter outfit I do have to admit. If I need a shirt tucked in and a jacket isn't an option, I go with my LCP. If I want more firepower...I either go untucked or wear a jacket.
I guess all of that is to caveat my it works well IMO comment. It does for me but it does take a little bit of planning.
