I have a 99 t/a with the a4. Nothing major done mild heads, cam. When im on a pass, or just getting in it on a country road it doesnt want to shift from 3rd to 4th. I will hit the rev limiter everytime. I do have a B&M shift pak plus. It a electronic shift kit that ups the line pressure in the trans. I took it off and still no difference. Possible valvebody issues? The trans has only 94K miles on it and has seen the shift kit since new.
The shift points need changed in the ecm. Do you have a programmer ?
I do not and my local tuner says its the trans. Possible valvebody issues. I have asked him to go through the ecm.
does it go into 2nd okay? it does sound like valve body issues, unless it doesnt go into 2nd. then its the 2-4 band that is burned up
Mine did that in just about every gear before it took a crap. You need to see what the actual line pressure is and see if it falls on it's face before it is supossed to shift.
