I just don't understand all the extra work of dropping it out the bottom. Why is it people want to take it out the bottom?
It's easier then going out from the top since our motors are so far back.
You all need to check this out then. http://www.tpis.com/index.php?module...y=Happy+Hooker
Also here is a tech thread http://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-mo...ift-plate.html
Stop waisting so much time.
Stop wasting so much time?!?!? ahahahahahahaha
Using a lift, I've had an entire engine/tranny out of an F body (from below) in less than an hour. :hasquint:
BTW that is how techs at dealerships do it (out the bottom). When you're flat rate you find the quickest way to do things= you make more money.
i want to drop from bottom im guessing it would be easier i want to flush out brake fluid do the suspension.
Bottom is easier..... Top is for douchebags.
Ive done it in 2hrs with a floor jack and a cherry picker.

They leave out some parts but it may help some
Weel I guess this is a debate that will roam on for ever as there are fans of top and bottom. lol :laid:
I pulled mine from the top, not that bad.

i want the 6 speed out too
I always drop out the bottom but having said that it makes it easier to do my front suspension (mostly rod ends replacement) maintenance at the same time.
gezzzzz drop out of the bottom it is so much easyer... :sillyme:
Also i makes life so much easyer when you want to ter down the engine .. i mean you can drop 100% of the motor tranny and wiring harness all in one shot... same as when you put the motor back in

Ed Wright, local tuner and known throughout the country pretty well, always takes his out the bottom. He has it down to such a science, he can have it out the bottom in 40 minutes. Most people with experience doing it both ways will tell ya, out the bottom is faster/easier.
