Quick question. What is a fair price to pay for a camshaft sensor replacement (parts/labor)?
Labor time is 3 hours. The sensor is about $75. At $100/hr labor (average dealer) figure $375 total. Independants usually charge less labor, so perhaps only around $325.
You must also figure in the crank relearn procedure that any decent dealer should do. Some charge, some don't - it could be as much as 1 hour labor.. Few independants can even do the procedure.
Thanks Marc!
Do it yourself and save yourself a couple hundred, its actually very easy!
I wouldn't say it's surprising to see it suggested; I wonder what the reasoning is...
