Vy ss.
Hay there new here, would like to know weather there is a better gear box, for a SS VY, then the standard auto box the ( 4 ) speed, reas is m gear box started slipping back out of 4th gear now now done the same with 3rd thought it was more fluid needed not realising that that the fluid lvl cheack had to be done a certain way, has resulted in over filling in result car will not move out of 2nd gear but does with a rev build up into 3rd but straight back to 2nd. Have now got the manual guard to show me correct reading of level. Now going to put a cooler in place to remove lines off radiator, and empty lvl of oil to spec. Have read that a turbo 400 is used on them or 6 speed auto lost on what to do, and sure think that bringing the lvl back will still have problems with 4 th gear.

Welcome to the site! Another mod should be along soon and will most likely place a copy of your thread in the appropriate section of the forum -- you'll get more feedback there than the intro section.
Any pics of your car?

Running the same slushbox in our car right now and getting ready to upgrade to a built unit for use at the track. There are guys on the site that have swapped these out for TH-400's, TH-350'S and such, primarily for track cars. With the appropriate mods, the 4L60E can safely go to about 600 hp max is my understanding. The 4L80E is a beefier unit that can handle higher loads when modified, but it is also physically larger.

Open a free account at photobucket.com and upload the pics from your computer to that site. After uploading, return to your album page and mouse over the pic that you want to post. You will see some codes appear beneath the picture. Left click on the [IMG] code and it should say "copied". Then simply paste the pic into your message on here by right clicking and selecting "paste".
