Artic White- 1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
Springs & Shocks Question?
I am about to buy the Eibach Sportline Springs 1.6" drop in the Front & 1.4" in the Rear. My question is do I have to get new shocks with these springs or not?

The Sportlines have a tendency to sag over time esp. in the rear and yes you will need new shocks.
I personally have Strano's with Koni 4/4's, the stance is excellent and the ride and handling is even better.Craig

I have the sportlines as well and the ride is harsh. I wish I went with a slightly higher spring....however the stance is dead on and looks sick, but the ride quality isn't as good. I need new shocks as well, so that could be part of the issue.

always dirty- 2013 Ram 2014 Caddy ATS
It is recommended. I would do it if you have some miles on the car.

hey Speeddemon,
I would recomend the strano's over the sportline!!
But whatever you do , you'll def. wan't new shocks (and cheep shocks don't
do it on lowered cars) It's alot of work doing strut/shock onthe front of
our cars so you might wan't to do it right the 1st time!!
good luck w/your choice!!!

triple-black- 2000 CamaroSS convertible
the car will ride like $h!t on sportlines.
There are 2 major things wrong w/ those springs.
They lower the car a lot, leaving little suspension travel.
To make matters worse, the springrates are fairly low for the little amount of suspension travel... on top of being very progressive.
On the last point alone, it makes it hard to have proper damping (shocks) but on top of that, have to chose between overdamping the system to avoid bottoming out (harsh) or try to dampen the system fairly and bottoming out.
Your choice of what to do... but in the end, that correlates to bad suspension setup and dead shocks...
Been there, done that.Eugenio_SS
