    Where to mount cutout switch

Hey i just got my elec. cutout and i was wondering where a good place to install the switch. I wanted to do it where the ashtray is but i'm worried that with my resources and knowledge that it won't be a clean install. i was just wondering where some other good places were.. its an m6 by the way. Some pictures would be awesome if anyone has any. thanks ya'll

I drilled mine into the plastic cover to the left of the steering wheel (right under the yellow button for the back hatch release). it fit well.. easy to get to too. Plus, my buddy said that some police are trained to look for them when they're suspicious of the noise. -I dont know if i believe it but i like the placement anyway

Do it in the ashtray. If you mess it up you just have to buy a new tray. If you mess up an install fixing another area might not be so easy.

I agree that the ashtray is probably the best place for it. I wired up a switch for my fan and put it in there. The install wasn't hard at all and I'm not that mechanical.

Ed has his done really nice. I bought some plexiglass and cut it out, sanded it down and painted it to match the interior, then took the change cubby out and used little strips of velcro and mounted it there. Didn't turn out as nice as I'd hoped but it works.

Mine is mounted in the ashtray because of the bright led. Its makes it a convenient hideaway switch.
