Alternator is shitting out...

any one here go with an aftermarket one??? is there any reson to get an aftermarket one or should i just go with the GM junker again???

i honetly have never used anything other than gm on anything ive owned. . .usually because you can get a new/refurbished gm pretty cheap with a core. i would also love to know about aftermarket ones . . .

I lost mine on a lllooonnggg road trip. Stopped off at the closest Advance and bought what-ever the hell it was off the shelf, and then installed it in their parking lot (w/ no jack or lift I might add). That was about 4 months ago. No problems.........yet.

I always hear the stories about people getting bad parts from autozone or advanced auto. I've never had an issue with any parts I've bought from either place......and I've bought a lot. My truck has a advanced auto fuel pump and alternator on it and both have many thousands of miles on them. I've used starters and just about every car part you can imagine with no problems.
