Rear Brake Pad Question
This is on a friends 2K low mileage Z28. All of a sudden his pedal feels a little spongy, bought new pads cause he has over 1/4" space between the pads and rotors thinking they were worn, but the ones on there show hardly any wear at all (same on both rears). After hitting the brake a couple times the pads compress, then slowly release leaving the gap. Car has ASR and braided lines on it. No leaks and fluid level is correct. Fronts are fine. Any ideas what could be wrong? Only thing I can think of is trying to bleed them.

do a fluid flush. without the system being opened, air won't get in. but, the fluid is old. most likely a dark color, almost black dirt. brake fluid is a light brown almost see through. kinda like weak tea.
only other thing would be the master cylinder going bad.Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers
