New Rebuild little bit of oil in Exhaust
Hi,
This is my first engine rebuild. It’s a 5.3 LS1 from a 2001 Chevy 1500. I have exhaust manifolds installed, but no pipes or mufflers yet.
I start the motor with no issues. I let it run for about 5 or 10 minutes. There’s a lot of smoke in my garage but I figured that was normal because of no mufflers. Not to worry, I’m in a well ventilated area 😳.
I noticed a slight oil drip on the floor after I stop the car. It felt like oil.
I did a compression test have a good compression on all cylinders at about 125/130.
Is this normal? Does it need to break in more?
Thanks in advance for the help

Hi! I am not for sure, as I am not so good with car rebuilds and etc, but I think that it could be okay. Especially, if it was once. But, I hope, somebody more aware will answer you
