98 T/A LS9 Swap Questions
Ok so I received a call from my dad about his 98 t/a blowing its motor. It was pretty much nothing but bolt on's...intake, exhaust. Well sounds like my lil bro was hotroding it and sent a rod thru the block. So my dad is giving me the t/a. I owned an 02 SOM T/A a4 but ended up trading it in due to the fact that I am living in Alaska for the next 2 years. So basicially im trying to find out all the info i can on doing an LS9 swap for when I move back home to Indiana. So anybody with any suggestions, prices, or advice from ppl that has already accomplished this. Feel free to commit.

Yea I kinda figured it would be that much. Prolly a waste of time building and dropping a LS9 in it...maybe I'll just pick up an LS2 and build it up

LS9 isn't N/A.
If you want an insane N/A build....get the LSx or Warhawk block and go 454 or something.

Isn't it the LS9 that comes in the new Z06's...or is it the LS8...maybe I was mistaken...I think I have come 2 a decision...find a ls2...do h/c/I, heavy duty oil pump, full exhaust, built t5 trans, subframe connectors, fully adjustable suspension, c5 brake upgrade, built 12 bolt rearend with 4.10's, upgrade fuel system, upgrade ignition, tune, wheels, tires...15 grand 2 do it all...lets see if I can make it happen

I am running the stock PCM with a 402 myself. Granted, I am using the LQ9 block.
The LS2 block will require a small harness adaptor to fit to your stock PCM because of a few minor sensor location changes.

Like what?
Getting the right combo will take plenty of research. Took me a while to get mine set-up.
Otherwise, the LS2 block will bolt right into the F-Body. The outside dimensions are the same as the LS1. Just has a few different sensor locations. And obviously will require a good tune.
