3.4 to 5.0 swap?
I have a 94 camaro 3.4, I also have a ford 5.0 sitting around, has anyone done a swap like this?
I have seen a dodge 340 in a 96 before, so I know it should be able to be done.
Not a joke, I don't have the money to do a LT1/LS1 swap but do have the 302 taking up space, thanks for any help.

You can put anything into anything..
But the cost to do so will be no joke either imho..
Easier to punch the hp on a 3.4L up to old stock 302 hp numbers..
Hell, a junk yard 3800 will take care of many a 302..

eh... you'd probably not be gaining much in HP over the 3.4...

Those 5.0's aren't good for much without boost or a ton of mods... you're looking at spending a lot of time and money for little gain.

Does anyone know if the front of the 302 oilpan will interfere with the steering rack and k-member?

Or, how would I fit a rear distributor 350 in there without cutting up the firewall?

The other issue is the carb and air cleaner will hit the cowl. If the 302 has a rear sump oil pan then it should clear the k member. The other issue is tranny. You will need an adaptor or have to use a ford tranny and have to fab up a mount.

if the 5.0 is in good running condition, sell the 5.0 engine and use money to buy the 3.4 engine.
