1999 trans am smog pump?

The Service engine soon light came on earlier today, i toke it to get read and this is what i got.

P1416
Air system bank 2 fault
Explanation
During the air system test the ECm looks for a change in the O2 sensor voltage- No change was detected
Probable cause
-Air pump electrical circuit fault
-Blocked air system
-Failed air pump

And I was told it could be the smog pump.

No real idea what it is, It isnt running any differently and still getting average milage...i really dont know what im supposed to be at just depends how i feel u know XD.

any ideas?

If your has failed I'll sell you mine, I've deleted both air and egr from my T/A...

uhh the light went away, but this is the second time its happened? what you think would cause it? last time was 3 weeks ago

Have you pulled out and check your O2's yet?

Your air check valves might be clogged. I had the same problem replace both of them myself. Only cost $24 for two of them. The problem went away

is it still the stock air intake? i installed the k and n kit on my ta and the smog pump had a second little filter of its own. about a day or two later i started pulling similar codes. come to find out when i installed the mini filter for the smog pump, i made a kink in the hose to it. five minutes with some rubber hose cutters and problem solved.
