wheel stand
I was at the track last night. There was so many cars doing wheel stands. They made it look so easy. How much power does it take to get the front end up?

completely dependent on your suspension setup, the weight of your front end, and track prep....what lifts the front end is torque....it is also worth noting that lifting the front in the air is wasted power..you dont want your car's power lifting your front end..you want it pushing your car forward ...it is still cool i know...but notice nhra top fuel don't lift their front end..and they go 0-200 in a second or two ...

i lifted the front tires at a little over 360hp. it was only a couple inches but it still came up. alot depends on how you hook and the way your suspension is set up.

Wheel stands hurt ET's.
Keep 'em on the ground if you can.
That said....properly set-up a stock motor'd LS1 car should be able to pull the tires.

Depends how high you wanna go...
It is a waste of power like said above... can be hard on parts when you come down too! but I just had to do it...

I'm not a hardcore racer. I go to have fun. I think it would just be cool to get it to lift up.

Didn't you read above? Lifting the tires HURTS your ET
Slicks...Rear-end...Torque Arm...Lower Control Arms...Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets...Remove the front sway bar (drag racing only).
As for springs/shocks...not really a pair out there for drag racing AND street use I don't think...Koni/Strano are the best all-around shock. QA1's are used more for drag racing.
The idea is to transfer as much weight as possible to the rear of the car on your launch, and be able to get that weight/power to the ground.
