It looks like the igniters are seperate from the ballasts, be careful, I heard the seperate igniters like to burn out. I mounted my ballasts onto the brackets right on the underside of the headlight lenses, they look like they belong there. I'm eventually gonna do my foglights, but that's another $250.00 down the drain.

as far as the bulbs/ballasts burning out i have had them for over a month and have had no problems at all. not to mention i have a full year warranty and can return them if they do burn out.

i got them from ebay for about $250 w/shipping,

if anyone is interested i can get the seller name. Really cool guy and had no problems at all. i will get the sellers name and post it.

Excellent install - looks real clean. So far, I haven't seen any other LS1s in my area with this cool looking install. But apparently, more and more owners are going this route.

The company is McCulloch. I ordered the 10000k set for my low beams. A little less bright than the 6000k or even 8000k, but has that blue-purple tint to it. And still a heck of a lot better/brighter than my stock lights.

Just got done with my fog lights upgrade. Used a set of Hella Micro DE lamps and a set of McCullogh 10,000K H3 bulbs. Had to use my Dremel to cut off a small piece on the fog lamp housings; the stock bracket (reused) would not allign the lamps correctly (was angled a little to high). So far no issues with the lamps slipping up or down (stock lamps used a screw for adjustment). The hardest part was mounting the new bulbs to the fog light housing; just used the rubber caps that came with the fog light kit and used a zip tie to keep the caps from slipping off; you cannot see the zip ties unless you know they're there, and you squint to see them.
