White With Blue decals- 1999 30th Trans Am #0922
Window electical problem. New to Site
Hi, I am new.. so bare with me here.. I have a 1999 ws6 Trans am. And i went to get it safety, and when we took it in the windows worked fine now problem going up and down. We get a call saying it failed for other reasons but the windows would not got down. So it failed for that.. So we got the car home and just held the window button down and turn the key on and off and it started too work. Was just wondering if anyone had this happen to them or know of a thread I should look into. Thanks for the help and i will answer any questions if i left some stuff out. Thanks again guys.

It might be the common BCM problem. Here's a good write up on it:

Got to the BCM and the it had a cold solder joint on one of the spots it said to check. Reflowed it and the radio has not cut out once since then. My pass window will stop working for no reason off and on though. Anyone know what might be causing it? I am thinking wiring.. but not sure.

Pewter- 2002 Trans Am WS6 M6
The passenger window is a problem for us all. Unfortunately the way GM wired our cars we typically burn out passenger side motors alot.
Like Cutlass said give this a try AutoTrix window fix

You will most likely need to replace the motor. Like everyon has posted above GM's piss poor wiring kills our passenger motors. Get the window fix and new motor and do both at same time. You will see a difference.

Thanks for the posts dudes, I will have to save up some cash for the window and motor fix. Looks pretty highly recommended on this site so that must mean it works.
