    door emblems

    What is the best way to remove the door emblems without harming the paint?

    2002 Trans Am WS6

    just pull them off. there is thick adheasive stuff behind them so if you want you can take a knife and stay close to the emblem and it wont touch the paint. thats how i did it. then just roll the adheasive off with your thumb. then take some WD40 to get the rest of the adheasive off. i buffed mine after just to make sure you cant tell it was there. looks alot smoother with them off.

    I would warn against the knife. Don't want to slip into your door then have to do touch up paint.

    Fishing line or floss, just to be safe.

    ya i got steady hands. i just used it to lift it up then to cut the adheasive while i pull the emblem off.
