Custom Swirly Black- 2001 WS6 M6
5th Gen Camaro vs. Trans Am
I read through the a few forums and youtube and haven't found anyone whos close to stock who ran against a stock 2010. I have only seen RS's on the road and only see the SS's when they are parked.
Has any one close to stock ran one yet? result?
As soon as I get the chance I'll you guys know.

My Friend has a 2002 z28 and he beat an SS he ran a 13.2 and the 2010 Ran a 13.6 so he got a better reaction and got him by a little. I think they would go faster with mods.

Stock for stock the 5th gens are faster through the quarter. There rated at 13.0's. Watched one the other day make several 12.8/12.9 passes at National trails on just a tune.

Also keep in mind that the auto SS is rated at 400 crank hp, where the manual is rated at 426

Im in the process of putting a 9" rear end with 3.73s,but so far it has zr1 wheels, and bout to get a ws6 hood. Getting some bolt-ons soon and an ory with long tube headers . Its sitting in my garage I drive it everyonce in awhile but its been on non-operational since i wrecked it. So basically just been gettin fixed up little by little but with better parts . For now I just drive a 5 spd VR6. Cars gonna be a beast.

Sunset Orange Metalic- 2001 Camaro SS
Just got up next to one today
Blue SS
Looked in my rearview and he was passing me
He saw me get up next to him and punched it, we were pretty much neck and neck to about 110 from around 40
I'm close to stock - mods in sig (click picture)
He kept going and i wanted to keep on, but if i get another ticket i'm screwed
When we got to traffic all he said was "that bitch is still fast though!!!"
Thought that was pretty cool

Navy Blue Metallic- 98 T/A w/ mods, 00 FBVert
I was looking at one today while getting a new muffler put on. The owner was getting a full Magnaflow Cat Back put on. He was having problems because the hugh ass tip would not fit. I did see something that was very different. They do not have a rear axle, it is all independent suspension. It has half shafts coming out the gear housing (sorry if my terminology is incorrect, using what I know) to the wheels. For you ex-mil guys, just like a HMMVV. Made me wonder if that would become a weak point later down the road. Not sure if i was going to take it on the track if I'd trust it.

Actually, the problem was a little further up at the output shaft. http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2009...blem-is-fixed/
