- once again 2002 ss
got a sweet offer on my 2002 SS today?
I have a 2002 convert./SS/SLP/CME
I do love this car but just curious how much of a profit makes a deal to sweet to turn away from? I've only had the car a few weeks though. I know the car is a little rare and maybe hard to replace but this guy is serious and has his cash! I have a headache right about now.

If it's my DD, i'd sell it, buy a cheaper LS1. if i didn't put more than 3-5k miles a year, then i'd probably keep it.

dude, if you can make a buck, do it, their are some serious deals going down right now, ive seen some bad ass 02 ss cme, all the options go for like 10, just gotta keep an eye out on craigslist and ebay and such.
that is if your not attached already, ive had my 02 for about 1 and a half, and there is no way i could sell it

Well the SS is not my DD. I'm just not sure if I'll have sellers remourse or not.
Anyway the deal is I still want to have something sporty to play with. So this is a second deal I was offered his what seems to be nice 2000 trans am and cash to boot. or straight cash. trying to figure out which offer to take. The trans am and cash sound pretty tempting; either way I'll be on the plus side though.

I think it depends on how much your going to come out ahead in the deal.
I'm pretty attached to my car, bought it new in 2001 as a 2002 car and a rare color with only 16k miles on it. It's been garage kept under a car cover and seen rain probably twice. Has bolt-ons but I have all the original parts. I personally wouldn't take less than 50k for it, I know that's an absurd amount but that's what it would take for me to part with it.

If the cost of the trans am + the cash you come out significantly ahead on the deal then do it, remind him its hard to get people to sell things they dont want to sell in the first place, hell probably throw down more cash if hes serious about getting the car.

just curious now. whats a 2002 ss,conv, slp, cme worth compared to whats a 2000 trans am,ws6 hood, chrome ws6 wheels
assuming both cars are clean and blah blah.

if both are cherry in a good market you could get almost 4000 more for the ss conv. Main reasons being ss newer, has ls6 manifold, is 35th anniversary and has the slp option. In this market anything goes.

for what ive read only the red 2002 ss are true 35th's even though all 2002's are the 35th year and thus has a 35th badge like mine over the radio.

eh... yeah the kelly book says the ss is worth more. I'm trying to get street value. blue book is just a guide line right. guys on here thats been around these cars a long time know about better than a book what things are worth on the real life market.
