Are you mostly pessimistic or optimistic?
I am NOT making a poll since every time a fucker votes, it gets thrown to the top of the New Posts list even though there may not actually be a "new post."
ANYWAY!
I get told a lot that I am negative, that I complain a lot, I whine, blah blah. For the most part, I notice and agree. I then try to be more positive. It works. But then I complain again. Next thing I noticed, I believed that I was balanced.
I cant fucking stand people that are always positive. It makes me sick and I cant help to think they are 'fake.'
On the flip side, I dont want to be anywhere NEAR someone that complains as much or more than I do. Fuck that, Id rather hang out with someone cocky over someone depressed anyday.
So there in lies..."balance." I do think I am partially pessimistic moreso than optimistic, but I am fine with it. Comedians are pessimistic. Arguments make the best discussions. Disagreements can be great ice breakers.
So what are you?

Some of us are Pollyanna where the light of the world is bright and everything is good ...
And some of us are Cassandra where darkness, disparity and doom reign ..
I'd say you're basically a grump in accordance to your responses to threads ... but I don't have a problem with it since it's like laughing at a sourpuss ...

People say the same thing about me, but I am usually the first to admit that I am a very negative person. However my dad just calls me a sadistic bastard.

Definetly a pessimist. Its ok though because I do have an optimistic side too. I do tend to be very negative, but not on a depressed level by any means.

I'm optimistically pessimistic. Which means I ain't happy unless I ain't happy.
Seriously though, lifes to short to spend much time on the stuff that's wrong in your life. I have an awsome wife and 2 great kids. Those 2 things alone get me passed anything that might be pissing me off in the moment. Stuff might fire me up but I don't spend to much time thinking about it.

depends on what aspect of my life I am dealign with. Overall I would say I am very optomistic but when it comes to work or anything army related I am very pessimistic because of the countless times I have been screwed over.

When I was younger and more hyper-energetic I was more of a pess. Now older and calmer I'm more of an optimist.

I fall somewhere in between the two. I'm more of a realist. I look at all the negatives in a situation and all the positives and make a rational decision as to which is the more likely out come.
But if I can't pick the middle road I'd say I really am more of an optimist loaded with sarcasm

i'm an optimist, i can't help being positive about most aspects of my personal live. i almost never say "oh no, i'm not gonna make it" or "i can't do this or that", what ever i do, i pull it off.
strange enough, i'm really pessimistic about the world in general. global warming, the development of society, the growing of organized crime etc.
i guess i'm just weird.......

Ive noticed the older people get, the less they give a shit, so you might win by default.
Take women for example..
When they are young, they will only fuck when they get married.
That fucking gets plummeted down the drain.
Then she says, she doesnt want to sleep with someone until she is dating them.
Once again, reality steps in and that is ditched.
Eventually, when a girl becomes a woman she realizes that going along with society's standards on 'how' she should date and 'when' she should fuck is wastefull. Next thing you know, she fucks when she wants to, doesnt care who has an opinion and wha-la, shes happy.
