Why isn't Michael Irvin bashed to hell by critics but Richards and Gibson are??
http://www.sportsline.com/columns/story/9822797
How come Irvin gets away with the above statements? I realize they are not entirely on the level of what Richards said, but shit come on they are pretty fucking ignorant to black people. Because he is black he can get away with it?

yeah, I'm black and about as athletic as Woody Allen. I mean I'm not a wimp or anything, but I suck at sports and was never a fast runner. Michael Irvin is an idiot.
I agree with the author of the article that he should get some sort of reprimand...fired, fined, something. How come Al Sharpton isn't on TV yellin about this???
yeah, it's more of that double-standard bullshit95 Exploder
01 R1 coming?

Let em hear you.....here is what I wrote....
I cannot watch this moron any longer. To say Tony Romo must have African heritage to be a good NFL quarterback is absolutely the final straw. Being arrogant/ignorant and racist is just too much. Why you have this idiot as your employee is an embarrassment to an otherwise fine network. There are many great people of all colors who I would enjoy listening to much more than this unfortunate soul.

If Kramer did a Vanilla Ice spoof instead ... he would have only lowered himself to *Token Rap White Boy*

does that make it ok tho? if i was sitting there talking about a black guy who is good at math and said oh he must be part asian and was joking would it still be ok? when you're on national radio like that it especially is not, now if you were with a couple close friends then maybe but not on tv or radio like that. it not only insults the athelete that he is talking about but also discredits him as well because of this.

"That's not the only way, but it's certainly one way," Irvin replied. "If great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandma pulled one of them studs up out of the barn (and said), 'Come on in here for a second,' you know, and they go out and work in the yard. You know, back in the day."
so what did he mean by this ???

Read above and respond please, since you are so confident on this matter. Bringing a stud from the barn....hmmm... what does that mean exactly? Nah he can't be referring to slaves in that quote. Did you even research and read everything he said? Here is his EXACT quote:
"That's not the only way, but it's certainly one way," Irvin said. "[Maybe] his great-great-great-great-great-great-grandma pulled one of them studs up out of the barn [and said], 'Come on in here for a second.' "
Now please explain how that is not slave related. Pulled one of them studs out of the barn?? What did white people have black studs just hanging around in their barns back then that weren't considereed slaves?? Man read up before you bury yourself.Last edited by Hurley711; 12-03-2006 at 04:53 AM. Reason: spelling
