Trailblazer, Envoy, Torrent, Jeep? What do I buy?
Ok so we just had a baby, our first & I think we are going to get rid of our 04 Mazda 6 & get a SUV, will be much easier to get in & out of. So I have been looking & don't know what to get. I would LOVE to get a TB SS, but I have the GXP, so don't really need that unless I get a hell of a deal! I was looking at 06-07's. I drove one of each today & actually liked the ride of the Torrent, but the TB & Envoy had some power!! I was also looking at the Grand Cherokee's but haven't got a chance to drive one of them yet. What do you guy's suggest??

2008 Pontiac G8 GT - Wifes car
2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP - Sold

BlackCherry- Bad Ass 67 Camaro / 2010
The new jeeps are kinda ugly.
Try an AWD Audi wagon or a Dodge Magnum AWD, hanlde great in bad weather and good weather
Or go for a Suburban or Expedition.

Gotta love the 4.2 I-6 in the Trailblazer/Envoy. 291hp and the reliability of an inline engine, along with slightly better mileage than a V8.

We went through this scenario last spring with my wifes ride. We drove several and both ended up liking the Durango. Well, she liked it. I liked the price for what you get. Good prices for that category of SUV. I was real partial to the standard 3rd row seats that you don't have to take out, they fold down into the floor. I would recommend at least test driving a Durango.

Black/Screaming Yellow- 99 S/C TA WS6 & 04 Cobra
I like the TB and Envoy! Our 2002 Envoy has proved itself over and over. It has towed the T/A across many of states and never needed anything but gas/oil changes for maintenance!

Arctic White- '07 Trailblazer LT
Just bought this '07 TrailBlazer LT last week (the NEW White Rascal) and am very happy with it. I've never owned a vehicle that didn't have a V-8 under the hood before. When I test drove one I was pleasantly surprised. The salesman said I could get one with a Corvette engine in it. I told him if I want a Corvette engine it's gonna be in a Corvette. Till that day comes I'll be more than happy to settle with the 4.2L I6 in my TB LT

RED/ORANGE- 99 TRANSAM
Your best bet is the GM twins. They pack more features for the money and they offer more space which is a must even with one child. I'm pretty sure there is a discount of some kind involving the GM twins. Hopefully you could get a discount on the SS. Congrats on the baby!

Nissan Xterra - 260hp V6 and a real back door
or
Toyota FJ cruiser - 240hp V6 and a half back door
I'd go with a FJ but I'd check how's putting in and getting out a baby with this funky back door.

PEWTER- 2000 CAMARO SS #3821
I've had the TB and 2 of the BUICK RAINIERS and they are great. The Buick has the airbag suspension in back for load leveling and comfort. About 22 mpg on the highway with the 3.73 rear.

Yes I have to agree with the choices of either a Trailblazer or Envoy.
You could always get the SS model for a really sweet DD.

I have been leaning towards the TB & the Envoy, drove a TB the other day & that 4.2 has some power!!!! It will fly on down the road!! I haven't drove the Envoy yet going to do that tomorrow & see how it is? Was impressed w/ the Torrent, but didn't have the AWD which I would like to have & was a little smaller than I liked, but the MPG is a bit better which is a plus!

I'm very happy with my Envoy. It has over 100k miles and hasn't had a major issue yet. The Jeep GC that I had before it was a totally different story. It liked to nickle and dime me to death and despite its smaller size, got worse gas mileage.

91Z28 - he just got the kid, he doesn't need to put 3 grown ups in the back , looks are subjective, I like FJ cause it looks different. But I also like Isuzu VehiCROSS
