I need help!
I don't know where to post this so I put it here. I want to know if a 1989 IROC Z had a better rear end then our cars. I know its a 10 bolt but believe its a 8.5 inch instead of our 7.5 inch. I am wondering if I am correct or wrong as two boys in the woods fucking. Mods can move this to the right forum if they want. Oh and mods can lock this as soon as I find the answer.

If i remember right its 7.625 inch. SOME were 9 bolt rears too. Im almost positive its not a 8.5 and its NOT stronger then the one in your ls1.

Here the link for the complete drive train lists of all types of 1989 Camaros, the chart is near the bottom of the page:

Not sure exactly what you're looking for but if it's not there try the forums, the guys there know a shit ton about third gens.

third gen rears are narrower. It will bolt in though. I can't imagine it being stronger though.
