I would also go out on a limb without even looking at it and assume that the grand prix's and grand am's had the same ignition "cylinder and wires" as a trans am or firebird.......................................... ........Last edited by theorangeguy; 06-30-2014 at 11:46 AM.

I had a 96 Grand Am, and the ignition is almost exactly the same. The same problem happened to both it and my WS6.....

The problem I had with both was the alignment/pivot dowels where the column pivots. I replaced the one in my TA. With another TA column. What's that about trying the same thing over and over again????

Not mine. For now. The fix is to buy a younger column and hope and pray.

Pull the wheel off and tighten the screws if you're talking about the tilt wheel flopping

They are not threaded. AT least not the ones I had problems with. Sure is nice not having to pull down the steering wheel to start or stop the engine now.

Mine were the star heads inside the column, it's the third or fourth Fbody I've had that I've had to do this...

I put over 300K on F-bodies and never had a problem. I few issues here and there is nothing out of the ordinary. This always happens, once one model has an issue, then every model has the same issue.
