I have had the SLP LT's since 2001. Very low clearance but I have yet to do any type of damage. Just take it easy and you will be alright.

How's the clearance on the pace setters? i'm about to have them installed and when i go to work i have 3 large speed bumps that i have to go over and there's no way around them. Even with my car stock i will scrape very lightly if i go over them straight so since i've always taken them at an angle.

Pewter Metallic (1of?)- 2001 Formula M6(1 of 225)
the easiest fix is to return the SLPs and go with Pacesetters, just because it's SLP doesn't mean it's the best. plus SLP isn't worth the money when you get about the same gains from Pacesetters

Isn't the reason the SLP headers hang so low because they are equal length primaries??
Its just totally unneccessary. I've seen pics, one of the primaries practically touches the ground, even with stock ride height. For the price, thats terrible.

I know that you cannot use the factory cats with the long tubes what other parts do I need other than the headers?

Thanks, I also will need to get o2 simulators as well, so I do not throw codes.

Yep.
As a cheaper alternative to the electronic simulators, you can try the spark plug non-fouler type. Basically its just like an extension that screws into the bung in the exhaust, and then you screw the O2 sensor into the back of it. It relocates the sensor far enough away from the exhaust that it doesn't pick up the extra emmissions from the cats not being there, but its close enough that it picks up enough exhaust not to throw a code.
I've used them on a VR6 Jetta and it worked, and my friend just installed them on his 03 GMC Sierra (which has Long Tubes, no cats) and they appear to be working as well.
For $7 each on eBay, its definitely worth a try
