Lightning gonna be tough "IF" it has 550rwhp.That thing should be in the mid 11s@around 117-121.They usually hook u pretty well for being a truck.

I dont get guys with trucks that think their super fast.... some guy with a 5.9L dodge dakoda RT thinks he can take my car.... with ease he said... he wont race though.
Dont they run like 15s stock?Last edited by 95camaroZNC; 10-13-2008 at 10:18 PM.

stock? this one's not stock so he should be in the 12's or even 11s if he's really running all that boost but he needs tires (as do I, playing field should be relatively level).

actually, car and driver rates the 380 hp version as running a 13.8 stock. picking up 100 or so rwhp wouldn't sound too bad to me for his mods, even considring the pulley, but without internals or headers it seems odd to me that he claims to have picked up somewhere around 250. I think i'll probably beat this thing.

I've witnessed a couple SRT-10 trucks at ORP here in Indy, I've never seen one quicker than a 13.9 @ 100. Quick for a truck, yes, but still a heavy pig that gets maybe 17 MPG highway LOFL!!!!

Read thru this......http://www.lightningrodder.com/forum...ead.php?t=9217
This is a stockblock with a kenne belle 2.3 and some juice.Even has stock manifolds on it.
your right about the 13.8 even the svt owners manual says the same thing, but most usually run a little lower than that.Should be a good race either way.as long as its for fun who cares win or lose.Last edited by flash; 10-14-2008 at 04:12 PM.

well i do like to win... i know for a fact this guys not running a kb supercharger or any undisclosed amounts of spray and if 20 lbs and a 100 shot are required to run 550 hp out of a stock block, he's nowhere near that. do you know stock dyno #s for a factory lightning? I'm not doubting that it's fast, especially with the pulley, but with just CAI and tune to go with it, he probably isn't making much more than 400, MAYBE 450 rwhp and I doubt that heavy pig'll move down a 1/4 mile quicker than my lighter car that's only 100 or so rwhp short.
there's a 470/580 lightning running 12.7's on that board, now that i look at it
if he was saying 550 instead of 450, 450 being accurate, i think i should be able to take him - this guy not having the nittos that were on that truck and lacking a lot of his other mods probably isn't making even 450 hp, that was probably rounded up from like 430 or something and it would probably not be in the 12's at all.
just some speculation but i want to take him out and whip him up some more, got a good reaction out of him when i demolished his scion

Yes and removing the tailgate, swapping rims etc. I've been on their forums they average the high 13/low 14's. Saw one here run a 14.0 at like 99. I had a shit talker at work with a SRT 10 smack talking to everyone here. Laid 200$ on the table and said lets go and haven't heard from him since.
