Your engine is turning 6500RPM. Your wheels are turning zero RPM. The car is AWD, so the tires won't break lose the same way a RWD or FWD car would.

Something has to absorb the difference between the engine turning 6500RPM and the wheels turning 0 RPM. Guess what, its your clutch. Every time you do that you are frying and severely wearing the clutch. Its common sense, there is no way around it, nothing else in the drivetrain is going to absorb that kind of RPM difference.

Its like saying going 150MPH to zero in a full out stop doesn't fry the brake pads. You'd be stupid to argue that.

ACT street disk. When you learn how to launch you won't smell clutch. Not to say that it doesn't wear it but you won't burn it or glaze it.

I was stage 2. I commute 1hr to work . Premium fuel only in STi's/Evo's in Cali meant I couldn't afford to put gas in this car every other day for long so it got sold in january to help with bills and so i can buy a commuter car that got good gas mileage. Ideally I wanted to keep it cause it was an awesome car to play around with but finances just would not permit owning 4 cars and fueling/insuring 3 of them(camaro is still a shell right now).

If I somehow got the money(18-20K) to buy one again I would probably put it into my Camaro. I now drive an 86' CRX to and from work, it gets 40-46 mpg and I only paid $500 for it. So now I can put money towards the Camaro.

The regular Civic and Fit get good fuel economy, but their claimed "high performance" cars fare much worse. Both the Civic Si and S2000 get quite shitty fuel economy for only being 2.0/2.2L 4 cylinder engines, about the same as what our LS motors get.
