I dont like 4th gens flat black. I love flat black in general, but on a 4th gen, you need somthing flashy yet subtle.....wild, but but mild......


I dont know man.....how about a electron blue or somthin of that nature?

I like too, but I'm wondering how you take care of it. I'm fairly certain you don't put a clear coat on it since I clear coated my t/a letters and they now look gloss black. I'm working on something special for my car.

So I don't know if you would just wash it. Or if you apply wax will it make it shiny as well. I just don't know.

If anyone has experience, your help would be appreciated.

I dont know if you guys have owned a flat paint DD but my truck was horrible. You have to wash the bastard with dawn all the damn time. Least you dont have to wax it.

if you are really interested, some company makes flattenrer for the clear coat. mix in a little with the clear, and depending on how much you put, it will be gloss, satin, or matte finish.


I am doing the center of my t/a bumper with the CETA mod. satin black.

i swore i saw a 4th gen camaro on ls1tech that was done in all flat baclk with blacked out headlights and black z41s that looked freakin sick...i would photoshop lots more before i painted anything...photoshop is free...a repaint..well..isnt

Wow I didn’t think I would like flat black on that gen Bird but it looks awesome. It really brings out the lines of the car since there’s hardly any light reflection at all. It gives me the impression that it’s got a badass motor inside, idk why lol.
