adults have the income to buy w/e car they want...that makes a lot of people mad because they can afford cars that they themselves cant afford... the sti is not a family car with a wing and a turbo. the sti and the evo are rally cars ..period give them respect..due to the fact that they win rally championships all the time..and the fact that on hot laps the new evo can keep up with the much higher horsepower Lamborghini

Its a Subaru Impreza, which is a family sedan, with a "performance package". Basically, a family car with a wing and a turbo engine.

the sti and the evo are rally cars ..period give them respect..due to the fact that they win rally championships all the time..and the fact that on hot laps the new evo can keep up with the much higher horsepower Lamborghini

The Evo and STI for sale to consumers shares just about nothing with the rally cars that inspire them. They are completely different vehicles.

I don't give respect to riced up family sedans. Period. And nobody else has to either, so don't make it sound like some kind of requirement.

um....the lambo had a professional driver wesman...the evo didnt......ahh so top gear stages things huh..so when they were reviewing the z06...they staged everything huh..a z06 cant out run petro thats lit..and the vette cant start from a start in 5th?? or is that all true because its a domestic ?

You don't get it.

They do all kinds of ridiculous stunts on there. In the case of the Z06 outrunning the fire and starting 5th gear, both are obviously possible and worked. But they will make it work even if something doesn't, just to prive their point. Just like the Toyota pickup that they destroyed and somehow it was still running, the Evo vs. Lambo in which the driver obviously wasn't pushing the Lambo to its potential, ect. The show is more for entertainment than it is for factual information.

Honestly that vid with the evo and lambo looked pretty cropped up. They showed two dif corners which I believe they replayed with the same turn. There was also a shot of the lambo gunning it out of the corner and the evo losing some traction, but then chopped and he was right on his ass.

I know the evo's a sweet car, but that vid did setoff my bs detector and looked slightly rigged to me.

Why the hell would they rig it? They have nothing to gain out of rigging it.

People embellish on things all the time to gain attention of their focus. I'm not saying it's not straight, and I'm by no means a professional videographer. I was just stating that there "appeared" to be some convenient looking edits.

hmm you seem to forget the biggest difference between the base models and these rally cars..its electronics..not to mention suspension and gearboxes..if you read up in the rally rules "To qualify for homologation, a minimum of 2500 cars of the competing model have to be built in one year, out of 25,000 for the entire range of the model (eg: 2500 Subaru Impreza WRX, out of 25,000 Subaru Impreza."
not to mention the engine displacement requirements..its sad when you dont give respect to a 2.x liter engine pushing 300+
