The dude was by FAR Not stock, A stock 302 mustang will run in the 9 sec range at the track, Even with Nitrous that puts them in a mid 8 sec. The guy has ran a 7.90, But when we raced the track was getting slicker b/c RETARDS with street tires can't do a burnout and tracks water up to the starting line.
Next time Ill take a Video of the TT vette when he is back out. Then ill take another video of me Walking him. Cause so far out of 4 times we have met, I have walked him Every time.

You're not taking out a TT vette unless its like back from the 80's. And damn this thread turned into 7 pages?

Well shit my old prelude 2.2L could get 330WHP with 10 pounds of boost. What do you think even a 5.7L V8 with TT is gonna do?

More than likely he beat the driver, not the car. Most of us know what a twin-turbo (C5-up) Corvette is capable of.

The Driver was in his late 40's to early 50's, It is a 2004-2006 zo6 a4 with a rear mount tt setup, The car sounds good but he is not able to get it past 7.80's, he seems to have some lag or something in the first 300foot Cause I always pull a car on him there and thats were we finish. He traps 96mph to my 93mph, So im sure in the 1/4 mile were pretty close, But it would take him EVERY inch of the 1/4 mile to catch back up.

It must be a C5 up to a 2004. The C6 started in 2005. When will people learn the rear mount turbo's are crap? Better off with a decent H/C package.

Yeah he's just a terrible driver. Im assuming you mean 2001-2004 "C5" body style Z06, considering the '06 & up Z's can turn mid 11's in stock form. Even a 2001-04 Z should be above 500-rwhp even on low boost. I run low 7's in the high 90's in the eighth with 501rwhp, so a Z06 should atleast be at or better than that with a similar power range. In otherwords it should be like cake walk taking on your 240.

I really don't know if it was a c5 or not. They all kinda look the same to me, Body wise. My girl started taking a video and the camera shut off as soon as we launched. Ill post it so you can see if you can tell, But you can really only see the rear.
Should be a cake walk for sure considering on stock turbo im only making 380WHP, But he just couldn't put the icing on it LOL
But Im sure I have way more driving experience than this guy at the track, or at least he doesn't show a whole lot.
any ways he's the SHORT clip, The only time I had a camera with me LOL, But then it powered down.

def have respect for STI's but LS1 f-bods have more potential and def hae an advantage over them performance wise...just raced this one guys two weeks ago. he had normal bpu mods. (gay appearance shit like rims, cf hood, wing delete) couldnt believe when i downshifted into third 70 and pulled away from him that i was driving a camaro. the one thing i hate is how 80% of these sti/evo owners have no respect for f-bods not to mention how the hell could you call yourself a man driving one of them...they are the most ugliest cars ive ever seen, when the fuck did a four door start being cool?? America these days ppfffff....the launch is what they have and only have until tey really start modding em. but mod for mod we will always prevail....

Sweet man!! Thats the Most Respectable kind of car.
Mine is street driven also, I do Haul it to the Track, but thats Cause i live 40MINs from the track and sometimes I get a little too excited and decide to launch JUST a Pinch harder and Blow my axles out!!
Props for keeping it Streetable.
My buddy sometimes takes his Turbo Mustang and drives it to the track 1hr 1 way for him, Puts his slicks on runs 5-7 passes he averages 6.80-6.90's in the 1/8th, then puts his street tires on and drives it back home LOL.
But all in all, IMO if any of the cars can run at least 7 secs in the 1/8th and at least 11 secs in the 1/4 then they deserve props, Just B/c there really isn't TOO many guys out there that does.
As for the Sti's, Honestly I would drive one every day if I owned one. Mostly B/c you know there fun b/c its AWD and turbo just to fart around in, ESP during the Winter months when all the RWD's are locked up, Also its 4 door and Family friendly, I know in my T/a the back seat is used as a closet b/c thats all that will fit.
IMO, its by No means a Drag car, But its def a top contender for rally racing, Which I also have highly respect for. They beat the Hell out of those cars. WAY more than any trip to the drag strip, So you know there built strong internal.
Just like IMO the Trans am is no means a rally car, But is a top contender for the drag strip and can also pull some nice wheelstands when setup correctly,
So honestly there is no need to Disrespect a STI just b/c its not the fastest, B/c in one sport it will kick the T/A's ass, But as we all know the STI is no match for the T/A in other areas.
So No disrespect to any of the cars, Just maybe there DUMB ass owners cause thats who really makes the names for the cars.
