Nice car, but I personally don't like the rims. Need to be a good bit wider. they just don't look right with the flairs.
Btw, Sarge91, do you mean the 6.2L? The 6.0L HO in the Escalades was only 365hp and is a Gen3 I think. The 6.2L is a Gen4 if I remember correctly.

So I was on the freeway, and I slowed to check out a Caddy, an STS V-series to be exact, annnd.. it kinda looked like the G8. Does it share the same platform?

I can see what you are saying.. But the 07 has the 6.0 L(9)2 enigine i think thats what it is called, but anyways it has 403 hp, i know when he had the 05 it was 365 ish,, but yea..
Any the CTS-V is using the corvette frame and ALOT of other things like that from a vette. Wait for the new V. It has a 550 hp, supercharged, and just a few grand more... 400 hp vs 550 ..

I believe you mean the XLR is using the Corvette frame. As far as I know, this is the first time in the 'vettes (Y-body?) existence it has shared its platform. Unless something drastic has changed.....I have driven and worked on the previous generation CTS-V and it was not the 'vette chassis.

The RWD caddys and the G8 aren't exactly the same platform but they are very simular.
Check out this article:

And yes the XLR and 'Vette share the same platform, not the CTS-V.
