I am using an Alpine Type R 10" in my stealth box enclosure. I am also using a Kicker 300 watt mono amp and it sounds good. Plenty of bass for our cars...IMO...but, I am getting old too.

I don't know if you use ebay, but if you do, check there. You can get them cheaper than Crutchfield has them. I bought all of my speakers from ebay. I have Alpine 6.5's in the doors and sail panels. As far as sound quaility goes, the best that I have had. Not that I have had any big $ systems but out of the ones I had, this one is the best.

oh yeah i planned on using ebay to buy, i just get on crutchfield to see specific reviews of an item. and the price look pretty good comaired to the w3 and kappa. the type r is pretty much the same price as the kappa (lil over 100 shipped) and the w3 is around about 150 shipped.

I had a high current one for 3 years and no problem, I just bought this one a couple months ago, so time will tell. For the price Its not the end of the world if it blows, its sounds great.

Ive tried both infinity and jl did not like the sound didnt hit hard enough for me I settled on a kicker k5 ten inch square sub in a factory bow very low pro fits nicely behind the seat still leaves room for everything it is a little pricey though..
